Environmental Policy

Environmental Policy   Waste reduction   Waste Recycling   Cost Saving:
  Realize the limit of natural resources, jointly accomplish energy saving and environment protection, for the pursuit of a sustained enterprise and human well-being. 
Implement ISO 14001 Environment Management System, coordinate with environmental policies of the company, and accomplish internal employee training, for jointly fulfilling corporate responsibilities in environment protection.
Corresponding Environmental Measures:
  1. Recycle rinse water from post stage of the electroplating plant for being re-used by the pre-stages.
2. Stop using highly volatile dichloromethane as a cleansing material; switch over to use water-soluble low-contamination
    detergents.
3. Exact control of organic solvents and specific chemicals for electroplating, enabling reduced discharge and pollution.
4. Alter power consuming heating rods into power saving heating elements. 
Pollution prevention tasks:
  1. Wastewater treatment:
   Set up a wastewater treatment plant and relevant facilities; assign dedicated personnel to operate the plant and
   accept auditing of supervisory authorities at any time. Daily check effluent operation for compliance with environmental
   regulations.

2. Exhaust gas treatment:
    Set up exhaust gas scrubbing tower with automatic monitoring and dosing facilities; exhaust gas is collected into
    scrubbing tower using blowers for being scrubbed; hazardous materials are discharged to wastewater treatment
    plant for proper treatment so that the effluent complies with discharge standards.

3. Waste treatment:
    Entrust qualified environmental service provider to dispose of wastes according to statutory regulations.
  Safety and Health Policies :
  Comply with occupational safety and health regulations stipulated by the government, customer requirements, and respective regulations of the company, for creating a safe working environment. Educate and promote the entire staff and interested parties of correct safety and health concepts; pay attention to their physical and mental health. Reduce occupational hazards to achieve zero accident, zero injury and zero disease.

1. Comply with Statutes: Observe statutory regulations, accomplish safety measures. 
2. Prevent hazards: Focus on risk management, prevent occupational hazards.
3. ustainable Improvements: Commit continued improvements to ensure work safety.
4. Entire Staff Participation: Endeavor in training, implement safety and health.
  Promote Human Rights:
  1. Forbid discrimination:
   No discrimination allowed in any procedure of recruiting, reporting-in, executing tasks, promotion, employing,
   remuneration, severance, etc.

2. Prevention of sexual harassment:
    Set forth sexual harassment prevention regulations and set up a complaint hotline and mailbox.

3. Forbid using child labor:
    Observe relevant regulations of the Labor Standards Law, no worker under 15 shall engage in labor works.

4. Communication channel:
    Listen to the voice of employees; set up well-functioning communication channels, such as employee mailbox,
    telephone, mail, fax, etc.; employees may directly convey their suggestions and concepts to the company via the
    above means.

5. Welfare facilities:
    Cafeteria -  Provide a cafeteria with good food and facilities, for the balanced diet of the staff.
    Dormitory - Provide a staff dormitory with facilities of simplicity, brightness and cleanliness.
    Health Center - Provide professional physicians and nurses for keeping employees healthy;
    also provide health consultation and emergency health care. Breastfeeding Room - Provided female employees a quiet
    and comfortable space for breastfeeding.
6. Health Control:
   Arrange annual health examination for employees based on statutory regulations.
  Society concerns and participation:
  1. The Ming-Feng Culture and Arts Foundation, founded by Mr. Lu Ji-Sheng, established scholarships and
    sponsored educational businesses to assist in cultural and educational activities.

2. Society beautification and road fostering, include trimming of road trees, lawn mowing, flower and grass
    replacement, facility repair, garbage removal, disease prevention, etc.
  Conflict of Minerals:
 

Kenly bases on the Corporate Social Responsibility, the international justice, and the Dodd-Frank Act of 2010, H.R. 4173 passed by USA, also, in order to avoid using the Conflict of Minerals in the raw material and the process of production, we convey to our suppliers that we care about the issue of Conflict of Minerals.
Although, Kenly doesn’t need to purchase the minerals directly, and our suppliers also don’t need to purchase the mineral from the conflict mining area directly; however, Kenly will keep conveying our statement that we won’t use conflict of minerals to our suppliers. At the same time, we ask our suppliers to ensure that the raw material they use in their products won’t cause the conflicting issue.

   

 The Statement of Conflict of Minerals
Kenly will not support, use metal from the armed conflict, illegal mine, and inferior working environment what is called (Conflict minerals) to the suppliers. The suppliers of Kenly should investigate their products which contain Au、Ta、Sn、W and they have to know that where these minerals come from.
About using the conflict of minerals in the electronic product and where are these minerals come from, Kenly will keep focusing on this issue and asking suppliers to investigate this problem and provide their information to improve the shock of the conflict of the minerals.
